“Insomnia” Mini-Series

“Insomnia” was a lot like its script: ever changing & potentially deadly. While I was working on the project, the main shooting location changed three (3) times. I think that the project ultimately moved from North America to Russia or Eastern Europe.

Due to the project’s schedule, budget & such, I drew five (5) STORYBOARD frames per page. And I cut my details down quite a bit.

Nonetheless, the continuity was really clear & useful for the director. I also needed to create action maps of certain locations within the script so that we could keep track of multiple principals in the midst of a chaotic action sequence.

The production team hadn’t considered this necessity, so when I shared my maps with them, they were impressed (at me being forward-thinking) & appreciative.
