Social Changes Occurring Around Kenny/a Sampling of Storylines’ Settings

2) U.S. Women’s Liberation Movement
After the initial Women’s Rights Movement in the 19th & early 20th centuries resulted in suffrage (voting rights) for women (de facto, for white women), a second movement—the WLM—was launched in the latter part of the 1960s.

After women’s participation in WWII & U.S. economic gains during the post-war time period, women were still locked out of many societal opportunities. These locks were legal, financial, social & so on.

For example, in the vast majority of America, women couldn’t own their own credit card. They couldn’t open their own bank account. They couldn’t buy real estate by themselves. These, & other reasons, prompted the Women’s Liberation Movement.

If they end up in such a situation, it’ll probably be interesting for Kenny & Puppy.
